Microsorum
Medium to large ferns, mostly epiphytic; rhizomes creeping. Leaf blades various forms from entire to pinnate, in many species varying on the same plant. Veins netted; sori in irregular rows or scattered; no indusium.

The genus Phymatosorus has now been integrated with Microsorum. About 50 species, mostly in tropical and sub-tropical Africa, Asia, Australia and the Pacific. 1 species introduced and naturalised in Britain and Ireland.
